They need to know you are praying for them

Sweet friends - I want to ask you to pray about something - many are hurting in secret, afraid to tell their stories, too ashamed by their feelings and behavior after adopting a child that is not what or who they thought he/she might be. Please pray for them to have the courage to come forward and share their stories so we can help them get the support they need and to know with all of their hearts that God does NOT want them going through this alone. Please pray strength and comfort over the parents who are struggling day in and day out to find a way to attach to their child who is acting anything but lovable. Please pray for them to draw as close as they can to God who knows this child intimately and will supply everything they need to find their way into his/her heart and build the bridge into theirs.

It is a very lonely road to walk when things are not going well after you adopt a child. "What would people think about me if they knew what it is really like at home when no one is around to see - that I am a stranger to my son/daughter? I'm about to give up, but I know I can't and feel so alone." I am receiving email after email with these very painful words. Please friends join me and cover them in prayer - they need to be bathed in His love to keep going on and hear from us - that we are here to support them in any way we can. Reach out to the adoption families in your church and tell them you are here praying for them. You have no idea how deep that will touch their hearts and bring them so much peace - knowing someone cares and is NOT judging them. Share
Adoption is Forever with them - let them know they are NOT alone.

Prayer written by Sheri Rose Shepherd in His Princess Prayers to My King (shared wit written permission)

My King,

Let me shine for You
Lord, Your Word says not to hide Your eternal light that is with me. And I do want others to know the hope You've given me. I want to have the boldness to burn brightly for You in this dark world.
So I ask You to help me not hide behind my fear of what others will think. Please shine Your light on those dark places in my heart that keep Your Holy Spirit from working through me. Make me into a star for You, a star that points people to heaven. Let my life reflect You in a such a way that others will see Your lovingkindness, tenderness, and mercy and be drawn to You and You alone!
In Jesus' name I pray.
Love,
Your princess, who is ready to shine for You
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you." Isaiah 60:1
